Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has stated that Iran is currently in a difficult situation while answering questions from the Turkish media in New York, APA's bureau in Türkiye reports.
Türkiye's Foreign Minister stated that, during his meetings in the US with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi and American officials, they exchanged views on the package proposed by Iran.
Fidan noted that discussions covered the package proposed by Iran and the conditions for opening the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible.
The Minister emphasized the complexity of Iran's current situation.
"Iran is in a truly difficult situation. There are sanctions, the threat of war, attacks, and military operations. At the same time, there are certain positions that Iran has adopted.
We held an extensive exchange of views on how these matters could be managed differently, how we can achieve peace as soon as possible, and how to prevent the war from spreading to the region," Hakan Fidan noted.
