US President Donald Trump has said that he rejected a deal proposed by Iran, APA reports.
“They made an offer, but I rejected it,” Trump told journalists.
The US President said Iran was seeking to reach a deal to immediately open the Strait of Hormuz and that this was linked to the difficult situation the country had found itself in.
“They did it to themselves. They said, ‘Let’s close the strait and create a problem for the world.’ Then I came along and we imposed the biggest blockade in military history,” Trump noted.
According to Trump, Iran has now lost its financial resources because of its decision to close the Strait of Hormuz: “Now they have no money because they wanted to close the strait, and we closed it on them.”
