Iran’s Supreme National Security Council denied that Tehran would respond militarily to recent restrictions on Iranian air travel, Iran International reports.
The council’s secretariat said Iran was in active talks with relevant countries to remove what it described as unlawful aviation restrictions.
It added that several non-military retaliatory options were available and could be applied to some airports if necessary, while expressing hope the dispute would not reach that point.
