Azerbaijani President inaugurates Republic Stadium after general reconstruction - <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

APA reports that President of Azerbaijan cut the ribbon symbolizing the official opening.

Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov informed the President that the reconstruction and repair work of 85,700 sq m of stadiumâ€™s total area was carried out by the Korean â€œSamhwa Telecomâ€ company. The number of seats was increased from 29 870 to 31 200 and the football field covered was reconstructed according to FIFA standards. The soil under the lawn was strengthened and drainage and the German-made heating systems were installed there.

The running stripes around the field were covered with new German-made coverage. Modern lighting system was installed in order to illuminate the field at nights.

New velarium construction brought specially from Korea was installed in order to cover the open space under the tribunes. 30 thousands sq. m were completely covered with special membrane that resists flame and other impacts.

16 ten-seat â€œfamily roomsâ€ were constructed in the stands, which has a large monitor over it and specially-equipped 500-seat box for the reporters.

Under the stands, there are locker rooms for four teams, sanitary system, shower rooms, conference hall, rooms for the coaches and referees, medical point, doping-control rooms and other assisting rooms. There are central managing and security system and rooms for sport commentators. All the rooms were supplied with security and ventilation systems. There is a special lifting system for disabled people, as well as 250-seat restaurant.

There is an additional reconstructed field for training and a building with locker rooms, sanitary system and shower cabins.

A toll gate for passage of 50 people at the same time and 30-m monitor were installed in the entrance. Security cameras and loud-speakers were installed on 44 light pillars. The internal and external electricity, water and sewage systems, communication, internet and gas pipelines were reconstructed in the stadium.

President Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the work done and gave instructions and recommendations.
