President issues order for support of FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012
1. The Cabinet of Ministers should submit proposals to the President of Azerbaijan within 10 days for visa facilitation for foreigners and stateless persons to arrive in Azerbaijan for FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
2. The Ministries of National Security, Internal Affairs, the Special State Protection Service and the Ministry of Emergency Situations in accordance with the directions of their activity should ensure security and protection during the championship finals and take necessary measures for the prevention of possible emergency situations during the championship and elimination of their results.
3. The State Border Service, the State Customs Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Migration Service in accordance with the directions of their activity, should ensure operational efficiency in the solution of issues like border crossing, customs control during the arrival and departure of FIFA officials, representatives of FIFA delegation, officials and representatives of FIFA confederations and associations, as well as registration and permission for foreigners and stateless persons arriving to watch the World Cup matches.
4. The Health Ministry should conduct necessary measures to ensure first medical aid, sanitary and epidemiological security during the World Cup finals.
5. The State Customs Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patent and the State Copyright Agency within their authorities should ensure the protection of FIFA’s media, marketing and other commercial rights concerning the World Cup final stage.
6. The Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies and Azerbaijan TV and Radio Broadcasting Close Joint-Stock Company should conduct necessary measures for organizing telecommunication and information technologies services for the World Cup finals.
7. The Ministry of Taxes, the State Customs Committee and the State Social Protection Fund should review the applications of persons arriving for organizing the World Cup’s final stage and participation in the tournament.
8. The State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patent and the State Copyright Agency should ensure operational efficiency in procedures like registration of FIFA or third party’s intellectual property rights, or protest and refusal of registration.
9. The Cabinet of Ministers was tasked to solve the issues arising from the order.
