Baku - APA. The trial of persons suspected in organization of football fixed matches in Turkey was ended. APA reports that the judge of Criminal Court of Istanbul #6 Mehmet Ekinci has passed a sentence at today’s last sitting.
According to the sentence the president of “Fenerbahçe†football club was convicted guilty in organization of football fixed matches. Aziz Yildirim was sentenced to 6 years and 3 months imprisonment. But he was released due to his exemplary behavior and that he hasn’t been brought to trial before.
The vice-president of “Fenerbahçe†football club Ilhan Eksioglu, the president of “Sivasspor†football club Mecnun Otyakmaz, the current vice-president of “Besiktas†football club Serdar Adali, the former coach of “Besiktas†football club Tayfur Havutcu, the head coach of “Elazigspor†football club Bulent Uygun, the football players Mehmet Yildiz, Ibrahim Akin, Isgender Aliun, Korcan Celikay, Gokcak Vederson were sentenced to different punishment. But the above mentioned people were also released due to exemplary behavior and that they haven’t been brought to trial before.
