Baku. Kamala Guliyeva – APA. “Azerbaijan seriously approaches to host the Euro 2020 Football Championship,†said Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov, APA reports.
The minister said that the names of candidate countries will be made public on June 30: “If Azerbaijan is ready to hold the Olympic Games, it has enough opportunities to host European Football Championship. The stadiums and infrastructure must be improved. We must build such stadiums not only in Baku, in Lankaran, Mingachevir, Ganja and the other cities which would meet UEFA standards. We’re working on it and try to make this work successful.â€
Azerbaijan and Georgia intend to host the European Football Championship in 2020.
