Baku. Yegana Lachinzade – APA-Economics. The preliminary volume of compensations for four liquidated banks in Azerbaijan will be 110.7 million manats, Azad Javadov, executive director of Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund, told reporters on July 29.
The licenses of DekaBank, KredoBank, Parabank and Zaminbank have been cancelled in Azerbaijan. The relevant decision was made by the Azerbaijani Financial Market Supervisory Body dated on July 21, 2016.
The total amount of deposits of individuals in DekaBank OJSC makes 5.5 million manats, insured deposits – 3.7 million manats, and compensated deposits – 2.8 million manats. The number of insured depositors is 133 people.
The total amount of deposits of individuals in Parabank OJSC is 87.6 million manats, insured deposits – 61.9 million manats, and compensated deposits – 43.7 million manats. The number of injured depositors is 18,970 people.
The total amount of deposits of individuals in Zaminbank OJSC is 53.6 million manats, insured deposits – 53.6 million manats, and compensated deposits – 36.3 million manats. The number of injured depositors is 10,742 people.
The total amount of deposits of individuals in KredoBank OJSC makes 30.2 million manats, insured deposits – 20.9 million manats, and compensated deposits – 27.7 million manats. The number of injured depositors is 4,542 people.
According to him, compensations for uninsured deposits will be paid after the payment of compensations for insured deposits in the four liquidated banks.
These four banks have sufficient funds to pay compensations, said Javadov.
He called on depositors not to hurry, adding that there will be no problems in the payment of compensations.
