Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. As of June 1, 2016, total foreign liabilities of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks stood at AZN 6,693,700,000, down AZN 55.6 mln or 0.82% from previous year.
Central Bank of Azerbaijan said the external borrowing dropped AZN 1,510.8 mln or 18.41% in April.
At the same time, compared to December 2015, banks’ total foreign liabilities decreased AZN 1,455.2 mln or 17.74% in April 2016.
At the same time, as of June 1, 2016, banks’ total foreign assets stood at AZN 5,515,000,000, up AZN 845.1 mln or 18.1% in comparison to a year earlier. Compared to previous months, total foreign assets decreased AZN 3,042.9 mln or 35.56% in May.
