Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. As of July 1, 2016, total foreign liabilities of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks stood at AZN 6,625,800,000, down AZN 288.4 million or 4.13% from previous year.
Central Bank of Azerbaijan said the external borrowing dropped AZN 67.9 million or 1.01% in May.
At the same time, compared to December 2015, banks’ total foreign liabilities decreased AZN 1,578.7 million or 19.24% in June 2016.
At the same time, as of July 1, 2016, banks’ total foreign assets stood at AZN 4,857,300,000, up AZN 470.7 million or 10.7% in comparison to a year earlier. Compared to previous months, total foreign assets decreased AZN 657.7 million or 11.93% in June.
