EBRD's loan portfolio in Azerbaijan stands at EUR 888 million

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's (EBRD) current loan portfolio in Azerbaijan amounted to EUR 888 million as of July 31, down 0.45% or EUR 4 million compared to June 30, APA-Economics reports, citing the EBRD.

The bank currently has 35 active projects in Azerbaijan, with the private sector accounting for 41% of its current portfolio.

According to the EBRD, the largest share of the portfolio – 89%, or EUR 794 million – has been allocated to sustainable infrastructure projects. Financial institutions account for 7%, or EUR 64 million, while the corporate sector accounts for 3%, or EUR 30 million.

Overall, the EBRD has invested EUR 3.728 billion in 202 projects in Azerbaijan to date.

The value of the bank's operating assets in Azerbaijan stood at EUR 715 million as of July 31, down 0.83%, or EUR 6 million, compared to June 30.

Note that in 2025, the EBRD allocated EUR 81 million to 10 projects in Azerbaijan.
