A proposal has been made to hold a “Central Asia–Azerbaijan” business forum in 2027, APA’s correspondent dispatched to Turkmenistan reports.
The proposal was made by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his speech at the opening of the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asia in Awaza.
The Uzbek President noted that economic cooperation between Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan should be raised to a new level.
According to him, the sides should not limit themselves to mutual trade, but should create joint industrial and technological chains and produce common products.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev described this approach with the formula “6 economies – 1 product.” He said that the participation of several countries in a single production chain would create stronger ties between their economies than ordinary commodity exchange.
Mirziyoyev also proposed continuing work to improve the regulatory and legal framework governing the activities of the Consultative Meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
