Unibank starts new deposit campaign

Baku. Elnur Huseynquluyev â€“ APA-Economics. The campaign â€œA Gift for Everyone - +1%â€ has started at Unibank Commercial Bank OJSC for all the holders of the AZN deposits made out for 12 months and longer.

From now on, all the customers of the Bank who have deposited AZN 200 to AZN 50,000 for one year and longer under the â€œTermâ€, â€œProgressiveâ€, â€œInterest Aheadâ€ and â€œAccumulationâ€ classes will be able to get the bonus 1% on their current interest rates. As a result, the maximum rate of interest that the Bank offers on the AZN and USD term deposits reached 13% annually. The depositors can also borrow the credit lines of up to 90% of their respective deposits as before. Also, depending on the amount of the deposit in each given case, they can expect to get the gratis Visa and MasterCard plastic cards.

It should be remembered that the Bank greatly reduced the minimum deposit requirement earlier this year: to AZN 500 for the â€œTermâ€ deposits and to AZN 200 for the â€œProgressiveâ€ deposits.

Unibank joined the Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund (ADIF) on 30 July 2007. The portfolio of retail deposits of the Bank rose by more than 23% last year and reached approximately AZN 143 mn for the first time ever. The number of the holders of the deposit accounts eligible for the deposit insurance has grown by more than 12,000. Incidentally, 80% of the deposit accounts in the Bank meet the ADIF deposit insurance terms and conditions.
