The state of war continues in Iran, and peace has not been established, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated during an event held in Tehran on the occasion of National Export Day, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
According to him, Iran is currently facing both war and military threats, as well as large-scale economic sanctions.
"The country is in a state of war, the war continues, and we have not achieved peace. We are still far from it. Therefore, all decisions must be made taking into account the country's wartime conditions," the minister said.
Emphasizing that this war has significant economic dimensions, Araghchi stressed the importance of supporting exports.
He noted that efforts are underway to reduce customs tariffs and expand exports, particularly with neighboring countries.
Araghchi also addressed the latest developments in the negotiation process between Tehran and Washington.
"Our response is clear. We have presented our plan to the United States. If they are sincere about advancing the negotiations and reopening the Strait of Hormuz, they should fulfill our conditions so that everything can return to normal," Araghchi said.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that Iran would not surrender under pressure.
