"Georgia cannot recognize the self-proclaimed 'republics' of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in any form, even indirectly," Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated at a briefing in response to a question regarding the Russian Foreign Ministry's statement on guarantees from Tbilisi concerning the non-use of force, APA's local bureau reports.
He also ruled out the possibility of concluding any agreements with the self-proclaimed entities established in Georgia's occupied regions.
Addressing the need to appoint a new special representative for relations with Russia, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Georgian authorities had identified the need to establish an additional important channel to ensure active work in certain areas, particularly the peaceful resolution of the conflict, trade and economic relations, and humanitarian issues.
