AtaBank to join MasterCard Europe Sprl system year-end

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev - APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based AtaBank has started negotiations with one of the world’s largest international payment system MasterCard Europe Sprl.

Bank says the completion of negotiations is expected before the end of this year. Connecting to new system will provide its customers with new opportunities and additional choices.

Issue of new cards will provide the impetus for expanding the client base of the bank. At the same time, the Bank’s ATMs will accept MasterCard and Maestro / Cirrus. Apart from the fact that the bank will become a full member of the international payment system MasterCard Europe Sprl, it also plans to obtain the â€œMerchant Acquiringâ€ license.

Remind that, Atabank cooperates with Visa International payment system since 2004. At present, Atabank is a full member of this system. The number of the issued bank cards reached 22 000. The bank has 59 ATMs and 345 POS-terminals.

Note that, more than 10 banks cooperate with MasterCard Europe Sprl international payment system in Azerbaijan.
