Zurich Court of Appeal judges Turks for denying “Armenian genocideâ€

Baku – APA. Swiss citizens of Turkish descent Ali Mercan, Ethem Kayali and Hasan Kemahli pledged to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights in case the decision of their judgment by Zurich Court of Appeal on denying the “Armenian genocide†is removed, calling this anti-democratic act and breach of freedom of expression.
“This is a shameful decision by Swiss Court of Appeal, Bern Ataturk Group Chief Hasan Kemahli said.â€
According to APA, the Swiss citizens of Turkish descent Ethem Kayali and Hasan Kemahli had been stopped on July 2007 during a meeting organized in a hotel of Winterthur. All of them appealed to the Supreme Zurich Court and by the last decision of Supreme Zurich Court their punishment was not changed. They were condemned to a sum of money as fine.
