Council of Europe Secretary General to visit Turkey

Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland will visit Turkey on February 6-9, APA reports. Thorbjørn Jagland will meet with Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Justice Minister Sadullah Ergin, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and new president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Mevlut Cavusoglu.
The program of reforms aiming to strengthen the role of the Council of Europe in the European political architecture will be discussed at the meetings.
Thorbjørn Jagland will also meet with the Turkish parliamentarians and deliver a speech in Bilkent University.
Secretary General will be in Ankara and Istanbul during his visit.
