OSCE and EU troikas meet

Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. OSCE and EU troikas held a meeting in Brussels. OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Secretary of State - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev, EU President Herman Van Rompuy, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Catherine Ashton, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain, EU chairman, Miguel Angel Moratinos, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium Stephen Vanekere and Chairman of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek attended the meeting, APA reports. They discussed the cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union, priorities of Kazakhstan as OSCE chair, regional security problems and political, economic, environmental and humanitarian cooperation issues. They also focused attention on useful cooperation between the two organizations in the fields of regional security, including the problem of Afghanistan, peaceful solution to “frozen†conflicts, progress of Corfu process and security of European future security.
