Azerbaijan sharply private car manufacture

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. In January-August of 2016, Azerbaijan manufactured machinery and equipment, transport facilities, cars and trailers worth AZN 177 million.

State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that machinery and equipment manufacturing dropped 12.3%, other transport facilities slipped 5.1 % and cars and trailers slid 25.6%.

Azerbaijan manufactured 119 private cars, down 67.8% in copmarison with a year eralier. As of September 1, 2016, finished products made 157 cars.

376 trucks were manufactured in the country during the same period, up 78.2% in comparison with 2015.

At the same time, 992 special purpose vehicles were manufactured during the same period, up 2.1 times from previosu year (finished products – 466 units). Tractor manufacturing fell 6.6% to 626 (finished products - 2).
