Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan produced oil products worth AZN 1,736,200,000 in January – August 2016, down 9.8% from previous year.
According to State Statistical Committee, gasoline production made 732,600 tonnes, down 7.1% compared to a year ago. Finished products stood at 11,000 tonnes.
Diesel production fell 22.5% to 1,41,500 tonnes (finished product – 86,800 tonnes), kerosene production declined 8.3% to 417,100 tonnes (finished product – 31,000 tonnes), oil bitumen production rose 2.5% to 112,700 tonnes (finished product – 3,300 tonnes), and lubricating oil production descended 48.7% to 7,700 tonnes (finished product – 10,300).
120,000 tonnes of petrol for petro-chemical industry were produced during the same period, down 6.5% by contrast to a year earlier. Finished product made 2,700 tonnes.
Moreover, Azerbaijan produced 416,500 tonnes of furnace oil, up 2.1 times from 2015. As of September 1, 2016, the finished product stood at 10,800 tonnes.
Petroleum coke production slid 21.9% to 121,100 tonnes (finished products – 7,300 tonnes).
