Up to 24 bln. cubic meters of gas transferred to Europe and Turkiye via TANAP so far

The Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) has made significant contributions to the Turkish economy with new jobs and employment opportunities created during the project, General Director of TANAP Consortium Saltuk Duzyol said at the online press conference, APA-Economics reports.

It was noted that since the pipeline was activated (from June 30, 2018) up to the end of January 2022, the total volume of natural gas supplied to Turkiye reached 14,5 bln. cubic meters. During the reporting period, the volume of gas supplied to Europe via TANAP made up 9 bln. cubic meters.

S. Duzyol also noted that from January 2022, gas supplies to Europe will be carried out at full capacity (10.5 billion cubic meters per year - ed.).
