Moscow has hosted a conference dedicated to 150th anniversary of the establishment of Baku Oil Society, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
Organized by the Lukoil Public Joint-Stock Company with the information support of Azerbaijan pavilion, the conference titled "150th anniversary of the establishment of Baku Oil Society, the world's first vertically integrated oil company" was held at the "Oil" pavilion in Exhibition of the Achievements of the National Economy.
Speakers at the conference talked about the history of Baku Oil Society. It was noted that the vertically integrated company founded in 1874 by large Russian industrialists and philanthropists Vasily Kokorev and Peter Gubonin was a large holding company with a full production cycle, from geological exploration to extraction and oil processing, to the sale of oil products to final consumers.
