In January–August of this year, the total value of production in Azerbaijan’s mining industry amounted to 28,827.9 million manats, which is a 1.7% decrease compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, APA-Economics reports, citing the monthly report of the State Statistical Committee.
According to the report, 26,292.4 million manats of this total figure accounted for crude oil and natural gas extraction, which is 1.6% less in an annual comparison.

According to the information, during the reporting period, the sector’s main product, marketable oil production amounted to 20,629.4 thousand tons, and marketable natural gas production amounted to 29,046.4 million cubic meters.
It is noted that marketable oil production decreased by 4.6% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, while marketable gas production increased by 2.8%.
