Azerbaijan's leading mining company "AzerGold" CJSC has presented another collection of silver and gold coins, "AzerGold" told APA-Economics.
The new coin collection is dedicated to the city of Lachin, which is distinguished by its fascinating nature, ancient history and is being developed day by day. The patterns of the "Gasimushagi" carpet belonging to the Karabakh carpet weaving school, which is an important part of the cultural heritage, artistic traditions and folk creativity of the Lachin district, were used in the preparation of the coin. The main element of the coin is one of the main components of the state symbols - an eight-pointed star and geometric motifs of the Lachin bird on the edges. The Lachin bird is a symbol of free spirit, greatness, strength and courage. The image also points to one of the most widespread hypotheses regarding the origin of the name of the city of Lachin. The name of the product, “Lachin”, which is carefully and delicately engraved among the ancient pattern elements on the edge of the coin, adds special meaning to the composition.
It should be noted that the “Lachin” collection is the 13th collection produced at the initiative of “AzerGold” CJSC. The new products are made of gold and silver mined in our country in weights of 5, 10, 20 grams. Consumers can purchase the collection by ordering from the Sales and Exchange Center of “AzerGold” CJSC located at 3 Bulbul Avenue, Baku, as well as from the company’s online sales platform www.azergold.gift.
Coins in various designs made of Azerbaijani gold and silver, as well as gold bars, were first produced in 2018 and introduced to the local retail market in 2019. The goal is to give impetus to the development of the precious metals market of our country and stimulate retail sales. Gold coin collections are a unique gift option that serves to promote our country, its history, art, cultural heritage, and other values, as well as a profitable investment tool that can be exchanged for national currency at any time.
