The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), under the Department of Energy, has updated its forecast for global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons for 2025–2026, APA-Economics reports, citing EIA’s monthly report.
The average global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons this year is expected to be 105.87 million barrels, which is 0.33 million barrels higher than the previous forecast.
In addition, the EIA estimates that next year, global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons will reach 107.17 million barrels (previous forecast – 106.64 million barrels).
According to the report, in 2024, the daily production of liquid hydrocarbons amounted to 103.19 million barrels, which is an increase of 1.17 million barrels compared to the 2023 figure of 102.02 million barrels.
Recall that in 2022, the average global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons was 99.99 million barrels. In 2021, this figure was 95.7 million barrels, in 2020 – 93.84 million barrels, and in 2019, it was 100.61 million barrels.
