In January-September of this year, 29,825 million cubic meters of gas were transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, an increase of 0.9% compared to the corresponding indicator of the previous year, the State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.
57.5% of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline.
Gas produced in the "Shah Deniz" gas-condensate field is exported through this pipeline.
Thus, during the reporting period, 17,135.6 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline (an increase of 1.98%).
Recall that last year, 40,348.3 million cubic meters of gas were transported through the main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, an increase of 2.7% compared to the previous year. 56.6% of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline. During the reporting period, 22,851.9 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline, which is an increase of 4.3% year-on-year.
