In January-September of this year, 20,502.9 kWh of electricity was produced in Azerbaijan, which means a 0.1% increase in an annual comparison, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.
According to the information, during the reporting period, 19,817.2 kWh of the electricity produced in the country accounted for commercial output (this figure remained unchanged).
The largest share of electricity produced in the country – 16,919.5 kWh – fell on thermal power plants, which is 0.4% less than the January-June indicator of 2024.
It should be noted that during the first half of the current year, the remaining part of electricity produced in Azerbaijan was obtained from hydroelectric power stations, as well as other alternative and renewable energy sources.
