In January-October of this year, the volume of the transported cargo in the Azerbaijani part of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor (TRACECA) amounted to 42 424,6 thousand tons, which is 26,9% more in the annual comparison, the State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.
During the reporting period, 22 918,6thousand tons (54%) of cargo were transported by automobile transport, while 13 896,2 thousand tons (32,8%) were transported by rail, and 5 609, 8 thousand tons (13,2%) by sea.
According to the information, transit cargo made up 27,1% or 11 498,4 thousand tons of cargo transported through the corridor.
