Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Board of "AzerGold" CJSC, held a meeting with Matthias Tauber, Managing Director and Senior Partner of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and Head of BCG for Europe, the Middle East, South America, and Africa, APA-Economics reports citing "AzerGold".
Zakir Ibrahimov gave a detailed overview of the company’s areas of activity, main achievements in recent years, and its strategic goals. He emphasized that the outcomes of joint projects carried out between AzerGold OJSC and BCG, including analyses and evaluations conducted with the participation of international experts, have significantly contributed to improving the company’s operational efficiency.
Ibrahimov also spoke about the company’s commitment to ensuring that its operations comply with local legislation and international environmental standards, the application of modern technologies, and efforts to align production with global market challenges.
In turn, Matthias Tauber praised “AzerGold” CJSC’s achievements, noting that despite the mining sector being a relatively new area in Azerbaijan compared to the oil and gas industry, the company has made remarkable progress in a short time. He highlighted “AzerGold’s” focus on applying international standards and environmental requirements in the exploitation of new non-ferrous and ferrous metal deposits as a model of advanced practice in the region.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on expanding mutual cooperation, deepening experience sharing, and future development directions of joint initiatives.
