Azerbaijan rises tariffs for heating supply services provided to population

The tariff for heating supply services provided to the population in Azerbaijan has been determined, the Tariff Council has signed a decision in this regard, APA reports.

It was noted that the cost price for heating supply services per square meter under "Azəristiliktəchizat" OJSC is 1.10 AZN. However, since 2011, payments for this service have been 0,15 AZN per square meter. The difference in price is covered by subsidies from the state budget. A decision has been made to determine an optimal tariff with a soft tariff policy in this area. Accordingly, the tariff for heating services provided to the population by "Azəristiliktəchizat" OJSC, in the absence of a meter, has been set at 0,30 AZN per square meter per month. When a meter is installed, the tariff has been determined at 14.6 AZN per Gcal (approximately 40-50 m²).

This tariff adjustment will reduce dependency on the state budget, expand the coverage of the heating supply, and improve the quality of the service.
