Azerbaijan's embassies abroad will also participate in maintaining military records of conscripts and persons liable for military service, APA reports.
The Cabinet of Ministers has made a relevant amendment to the "Rules for Maintaining Military Records of Conscripts and Persons Liable for Military Service."
Currently, in order to staff the Azerbaijan Army and other armed formations established in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, military records of conscripts and persons liable for military service are maintained by state bodies (including consulates), local executive authorities, local self-government bodies, as well as enterprises, institutions and organizations operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan that have the status of legal entities established in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan or a foreign state, regardless of their form of ownership and organizational-legal form, including their branches and representative offices, as well as educational institutions.
