"The length of the gas distribution network in Azerbaijan currently exceeds 73,000 kilometers," General Director of SOCAR’s Azerigas Production Union Azar Mammadov said during his speech at the 1st International Caspian Gas Industry Forum held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, the number of subscribers of Azerigas has now surpassed 2.6 million.
Azar Mammadov also noted that the level of gasification across the country is approaching 97%, and work in this area continues.
"The level of gasification in Azerbaijan is nearing 97%, which is a leading indicator worldwide," Azar Mammadov emphasized.
He added that Azerbaijan surpasses countries like the Netherlands, Georgia, Italy, and the United Kingdom in terms of gasification levels.
