German companies are interested in gas, transport, and renewable energy projects in Azerbaijan, said German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann at the “German-Azerbaijani Export Finance Conference 2025” held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to the ambassador, German companies have shown interest in specific projects in the gas, transportation, and renewable energy sectors in Azerbaijan in recent months. “SEFE and SOCAR have reached an agreement in the gas sector, and MAN is interested in the production or assembly of electric buses,” he said.
R. Horlemann added that the ongoing peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the new dynamic in relations between the European Union and Azerbaijan, and the roadmap signed with Germany create additional opportunities for this cooperation. According to him, the German government also supports these processes with export credits and investment promotion tools.
