Head of the mission Jusuf Kalla said the CAPDI concluded that the staff of the polling stations was professional: “The elections were well organized, completely independent and transparent. No case of violence was detected. The local observers were provided with free access to the election process. We didn’t receive any complaint.”
“Now we can congratulate the Azerbaijani people on good management of the elections and electing the President,” Kalla said.
Member of the CAPDI observation mission, former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada, Ms. Sheila Copps said that they observed properly organized, peaceful elections. She said that there were some technical problems, but they didn’t hear any discontent of the representatives of all parties at the meetings in the polling stations.
