APA reports that Panahov has announced initial results of the valid votes given to the candidates at the presidential candidates.
He said that over the country 125 constituencies, 5492 polling stations have functioned. The total number of voters are 5 163 231. According to the summarized results, 3 70 643 electors have participated in the elections. Total voter turnout was 72.1% in the country.
Panahov noted that it was possible to get protocols from all polling stations: “It is related with the polling stations set up for IDPs, which are settled in more than 70 regions. In order to count the results of a constituency protocols are needed to be collected from a number of polling stations. But we keep contact via phones. 26 polling stations have not been submitted protocols for certain reasons.”
The chairman said that according to the results of 5 466 polling stations, presidential candidate of New Azerbaijan Party YAP Ilham Aliyev is leading with 84.59% (3 118 287 votes).

Hafiz Hajiyev – 0.66% (24 254 votes)
Sardar Mammadov – 0.61% (22 568 votes)
Panahov said that Ilham Aliyev is leading with absolute majority: “The Central Election Commission will announce an official decision in coming days. The official results will be sent to the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan Republic within 10 days for confirmation.”
On the behalf of CEC, chairman Panahov congratulated Ilham Aliyev on leading in the elections.
He also said that protocols of 125 constituencies will be collected within two days and summarized results will be revealed via schedule.
