Azerbaijan is implementing a policy that takes into account the changes happening in the world and aligns with the demands of the new era, Member of Parliament (Milli Majlis) Soltan Mammadov said in an interview with APA.
The MP stated that the main goal is to protect the national interests of the country even in these complex conditions: "In recent years, there have been major changes in the region. The bilateral relations of many countries have been influenced by the serious impact of the challenges of the new era. We observe a significant qualitative change in relations among traditional allies. At the same time, countries that previously did not have such deep relations are now forming strategic partnerships. Overall, the character of international relations has largely lost its previous content. Azerbaijan’s position is that, as an independent state, our interests should be respected. In accordance with the strategic course defined by President Ilham Aliyev, our country is recognized as a reliable partner in the international relations system."
