"The killing of civilians whether in Ukraine or in Gaza is a clear example of the collapse of the system of international relations in the world," Ali Ahmadov, First Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), said this at the International Round Table Discussion on "The Role of Parliaments in Public Diplomacy: The Example of Azerbaijan and Türkiye" held at ADA University, APA reports.

He added that the system of international relations created to strengthen the world order after World War II is currently unable to adequately respond to new world realities: “I think the world is forced to accept this reality. The killing of civilians, whether in Ukraine or in Gaza, is a clear example of the collapse of the system of international relations in the world. There is a need to increase the role of parliaments in the processes in which individual states are involved. Azerbaijan has not only liberated its territories from occupation, but also set an example of waging a fair war against aggression. As a result, a real opportunity has arisen for the strengthening of peace and cooperation in the Caucasus. We see how many people suffer from interference in internal affairs by countries.”
