Paris-based House of Azerbaijan chairperson appeals to court for relaunching of criminal case on her brutal beating by Armenians - <span style="color: red;">EXCLUSIVE

Fataliyeva told APA that this week a judge will be appointed for holding a hearing again.

She noted that he Azerbaijanis in this country have become angry as Paris Prosecutor’s Office canceled the criminal case without detaining and punishing the criminals and they decided to appeal to a higher instance in this regard: “There are enough photos and videos on the incident. The date of the hearing will be fixed after a judge is appointed.”

Attending the event entitled "Sumgait events after 25 years: the present situation and future prospects for the people of Nagorno-Karabakh" held by the Armenian Issues Bureau in France with the attendance of representatives of the Armenian-French community and several members of the French Parliament in the French National Assembly, the members of Azerbaijani Diaspora informed the participants that February 26 is the 21st anniversary of the Khojaly genocide in Azerbaijan. Though their position caused serious objection, the members of Azerbaijani Diaspora resolutely said that the views voiced on Sumgait events are not based on historical facts. Following this, instigated by French parliamentarian Francois Roshebloun the participants attacked and brutally beat the head of Azerbaijani Diaspora and Azerbaijani student. The participants, including members of the French Parliament who attended the meeting did not try to prevent the atrocity.
