American Turks thank Azerbaijanis for support in their campaign against Armenians and so called genocide

Washington. Isabel Levine â€“ APA. The representatives of Turkish Diaspora in the United States of America issued a statement thanking the Azerbaijani Diaspora in US, APAâ€™s Washington DC correspondent reports.

Turks state that their â€œAzerbaijani brothers have been supportive and encouraging friendsâ€ in their campaign against Armenians and their so called genocide during the last couple months.

The Turkish Diaspora said that thanks to the common efforts of Turkish-Azerbaijani Diasporas they managed to reach two goals â€“ control the pro-Armenian congress membersâ€™ activities in Washington and dismiss the Armenian Diasporaâ€™s actions across the country.

They said in a statement that â€œthis is one of the most wonderful examples of the joint Turkic strengthâ€.

According to Turkish American Assembly, last month - on April 24th â€“ during the anti Armenian â€œgenocideâ€ action near the Turkish embassy both Azerbaijan and North Cyprus flags were waving as a sign of common beliefs, efforts, friendship and brotherhood.

Turkish Diaspora pointed out that for example if about five years ago only 30 people would participate in the actions against Armenians, now the number of supporters grew more than five times. When it comes to Armenians, itâ€™s on the contrary â€“ if five years ago there were 700 supporters of their actions, now itâ€™s 150.

Mr. Gunay Evinch, the head of the Assembly of Turkish Americans, called the joint Azerbaijani and Turkish efforts on defending the national interests in US as â€œa great courageâ€.
