Events on Day of Azerbaijanis’ Genocide to be held in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg – APA. Azerbaijani Consulate General in St. Petersburg and National Cultural Autonomy of St. Petersburg Azerbaijanis plan to hold a range of events on March 31 – Day of Azerbaijanis’ Genocide, press service of the Consulate told APA.
Representatives of YESOD Jewish Culture House in St. Petersburg, teachers of a number of higher schools, heads of the diplomatic missions accredited in the city, members of Azerbaijani Diaspora, our students and media representatives will hold a conference. Information will be given about the Armenians’ territorial claims against Azerbaijan and terrible crimes committed by them against the Azerbaijanis in the 20th century.

The book “Karabakh diary” by famous Russian writer, Professor Yuri Pompeyev will be presented at the conference. The book, which was presented at the Eastern Literature Center of Russian State Library on March 1, has been prepared within the framework of the “Justice for Khojaly” campaign initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, head of Russian representation of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, General Coordinator of ICYF-DC for Inter-cultural Dialogue.

Photos of the destroyed monuments in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, historical maps describing Azerbaijani territories and a documentary film “Cultural heritage of Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region: past and present” will be demonstrated at the event. Books and booklets about the tragic pages of the history will be distributed among the participants.
