Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan sign Mecca Agreement: Attack on one member to be considered attack on all - UPDATED

Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signed the Mecca Agreement on Friday, NTV reports.

Under the agreement, an attack on any member of the alliance will be considered an attack on all parties to the pact.

Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan will sign a trilateral defense agreement, APA's Türkiye bureau reports, citing Turkish security sources.

The agreement is planned to be signed today in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Note that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan departed for Saudi Arabia today on a working visit. As part of the visit, Erdoğan is expected to meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
