Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said on Friday that the countries in the region need to ensure the security of the Persian Gulf without external intervention, APA reports.

"We recorded and documented the date and time of the flights of aircraft or the launch of missiles from the territory of neighboring countries. We received reports from the armed forces indicating that some of the few attacks were also direct attacks, and we documented those as well," Gharibabadi said.

"I think that if we return to conditions of peace, calm, and stability in the region, there is a very strong likelihood that security talks among the countries of the region will take place," he added.

The Iranian diplomat said Gulf states had planned a joint foreign ministers’ meeting, stressing that regional security must be built from within the region with all countries playing a role in ensuring it.
