Iran ready to cooperate with upcoming Iraqi government: spokesman

Baku-APA. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said Monday that Iran is ready to cooperate with the upcoming Iraqi government, the official IRNA news agency reported, APA reports quoting News.xinhuanet.com web-page.
The Islamic Republic which shares border with Iraq wishes success for the upcoming Iraqi government, Mehman-Parast was quoted as saying.
Iran is ready for constructive cooperation with countries of the region and Islamic neighbors in dealing with regional developments, Mehman-Parast told IRNA.
The Iraqi people have rushed to polling stations to establish democracy in the war-torn country, he said, adding that the massive turnout of the Iraqi people should be taken as a good omen.
Iran spares no effort to assist countries in the region such as Iraq to restore peace and stability to the region, he added.
On Friday, the result of Iraq’s new parliamentary elections showed that the secular bloc of Iraqia headed by former Prime Minister Ayad Allawi won 91 seats in the 325-seat Council of Representatives, while the State of Law coalition of incumbent Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki followed
