US President Donald Trump lashed out at the Supreme Court, whose conservative majority he himself helped form. He commented in Truth Social on the court's decision to overturn his mail-in voting order, APA reports.
The American leader criticized the justices for rulings they made in 2026 that overturned his executive orders. Trump claimed that three members of the court, whose nominations he had previously nominated, were controlled by Democrats. He did not name them. "These are not the people I personally interviewed when selecting nominees for the Supreme Court of the United States," the head of state wrote. "They are shadows of their former selves. This is a court that is costing the United States trillions of dollars through shockingly bad decisions, the scale of which is so vast that our country will have a hard time recovering or healing."
"This is a court that will go down in history as having rendered some of the most destructive, painful, and disastrous decisions in the history of our country," Trump added. "I do not write this criticism of the Supreme Court of the United States lightly. It will likely cost me dearly in the coming years, but I consider it my obligation and duty as President to do so for the sake of the America we love!"
The American president criticized the Supreme Court for overturning his orders regarding "birth tourism" and stricter tariffs. "Some justices are terrified of these insane and depraved Democrats and are completely incapable of demonstrating the courage needed to save our America," he noted.
