ICESCO has thanked President Ilham Aliyev for his support for cooperation and the development of partnerships in Azerbaijan, Salim bin Mohammed AlMalik, Secretary-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), said at the special joint session of the 3rd High-Level Meeting of International Organizations and the 6th Meeting of Ministers within the framework of the Baku Process in Baku, APA reports.
He also thanked Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture for organizing the meeting, bringing together ministers and international organizations, and creating an opportunity to overcome common concerns and make practical decisions.
"The main measure of success will be the changes these decisions bring to people's lives. Trust in multilateral cooperation has declined, and to restore this trust, we must bridge the gap between the commitments we make and their implementation. This requires the consistent application of principles and consistency in fulfilling promises. Our institutions and communities in countries need reliable support and opportunities for cooperation. In this regard, stronger coordination is extremely important.
Expenditure on peacebuilding could amount to approximately half a percent of global net wealth. Although these figures are based on certain assumptions, their message is clear: investing in conflict prevention can yield significant economic and social benefits."
