"The World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue has become one of the most effective platforms," President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at the opening of the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, APA reports.
"We have more than 2,000 registered participants at the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, including over 500 foreign guests from more than 100 countries. These figures actually show that the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue has become one of the most effective and comprehensive platforms for addressing issues related to intercultural relations and beyond. Because at the forums, we traditionally discuss pressing issues on the global agenda. I remember very well the first forum organized on our initiative in 2011. We are very grateful to our partners, first and foremost the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, for supporting this initiative and for their support throughout all these years. Much has changed since then. Of course, at every forum held every two years, we discuss issues that concern us all," the head of state noted.
