The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) will announce its next decision on the interest rate this week, APA-Economics reports.
The decision of the Central Bank's Board on the parameters of the interest rate corridor will be presented to the public on October 29.
Under the Central Bank's previous decision, the interest rate was kept unchanged at 6.5%, and the upper limit of the interest rate corridor remained stable at 7.5%, while the lower limit was reduced by 0.5 percentage points to 5%.
In its previous decision, the CBA stated that decisions on the interest rate corridor for the remainder of the year would be made taking into account the inflation forecast, the dynamics of key macroeconomic indicators, developments in the foreign exchange market, and liquidity in the banking sector. Macroeconomic forecasts will continue to be assessed based on several scenarios, taking into account global uncertainties and their impact on the domestic economy.
