"Expanding non-oil and gas exports is one of Azerbaijan's main objectives, with a target of increasing this sector's share in total exports to 30%," Adviser to the Minister of Economy Huseyn Huseynov said during a panel session titled "Business Dialogue" held as part of the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, APA reports.
He stated that new mechanisms have been introduced to further support export growth and reduce the costs of accessing foreign markets.
"These include subsidizing up to 70% of transportation costs for non-oil and gas exporters that meet the relevant requirements, as well as partial compensation of customs duties for exporters that are micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
Access to affordable financing is another important element of our support for entrepreneurship. In the first nine months of 2026, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund under the Ministry of Economy allocated approximately AZN 246 million in concessional loans to support more than 4,000 projects," he noted.
He also noted that particular importance is attached to cooperation aimed at further expanding ties with the international business community and establishing new partnerships.
