A helicopter belonging to NBC 4 crashed and caught fire while filming the aftermath of a serious traffic accident in the Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles, according to foreign media reports.
Earlier, an SUV had collided with a public transit vehicle in the area. At least two people were reported killed and six others injured in the road accident.
The television helicopter was dispatched to cover the incident and crashed while filming the scene from the air, bursting into flames after hitting the ground.
Photojournalist Eliana Moreno had reportedly been broadcasting live from aboard the helicopter just minutes before the crash.
Crews aboard other news helicopters at the scene identified the crashed aircraft as belonging to NBC 4.
